MOTHERING & DAUGHTERING: KEEPING YOUR BOND STRONG THROUGH THE TEEN YEARS
“What Sil and Eliza Reynolds teach mothers and their teenage daughters is profound, essential, and revolutionary.”
—Geneen Roth, #1 New York Times bestselling author of Women Food and God
Sil and Eliza Reynolds are a mother/daughter team who teach that it’s possible for mothers and daughters to not only survive the adolescent years but thrive in them, and that no matter how it appears or what people say, teenage daughters want and need a close relationship with their mothers.
For moms, Sil addresses the central task of stopping the cycle of separation and anxiety that plagues so many. She draws on her clinical expertise to nurture skills of intuition, boundary-setting, mirroring and more. Turn the book over, and 19-year-old Eliza shares empowering advice to daughters looking to keep it real with Mom so they can better face typical teen challenges such as overwhelm, body image, and relationships. Packed with practical excercises, activities, and lifesaving insights gleaned from filled-to-capacity “Mothering & Daughtering” workshops at the Omega Institute in New York and at Esalen in California, MOTHERING AND DAUGHTERING is an indispensable resource.
MOTHERING AND DAUGHTERING has been endorsed by Eve Ensler, Jane Fonda, Elizabeth Lesser, Dr. Christiane Northrup and Geneen Roth.
