Mary South's YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN published this week
Mary South’s You Will Never be Forgotten (Farrar, Straus and Giroux), her debut collection of stories, published on Tuesday and has already generated tremendous buzz.
O Magazine calls it one of March’s best books (“Imagine Black Mirror by way of Karen Russell and you’ll get a sense of this mordant and wondrous collection of short fiction”) while Guernica and The Baffler featured stories from the collection—in addition to earlier excerpts in The New Yorker, Los Angeles Review of Books, American Short Fiction, The Offing, and on The White Review. The Believer also published a fascinating interview with Mary about her process, what inspires her, and finding both horror and humanity on the internet.
