Mary Anne Staniszewski, Ph.D., is Professor of Art History at City University of New York. She has written about art and culture for a diverse range of journalistic, academic, and art world publications, both nationally and internationally, for more than twenty years. Her major research and writing projects are interdisciplinary investigations of modern art and culture as articulations of the modern self.
